Hurricane – Wendell Musser, photographed at Washington County’s Purgatory Jail, where Warren Jeffs is an inmate. Musser has filed a lawsuit against polygamist leader Warren Jeffs, alleging that Jeffs has essentially taken his wife and child away from him. Musser says he served as a caretaker for Warren Jeffs while Jeffs was a fugitive from the law. Musser took care of several of Jeffs’ wives in three Colorado safehouses. Musser and his own wife were serving a “work mission” and would run errands and shop for groceries for Jeffs’ wives, who were instructed to stay inside, out of sight, at all times. When Musser was charged with DUI, he was kicked out of Jeffs’ FLDS church and hasn’t been able to contact his wife or infant son since. Musser is expected to file a lawsuit against Warren Jeffs late Friday afternoon.
