Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill announced Thursday that a Unified police officer was legally justified in shooting Matthew Hilbelink, who was suicidal and who had pointed a gun at an officer.

We are meeting his wife, Alexis Hilbelink, at her home to talk about the ruling and also a new law change that prohibits cops from shooting at someone who is suicidal but only a danger to themselves.
