Eugene Wagstaff, 81, will travel to Maryland on July 24 to meet with other sailors who survived the sinking of the USS Underhill in WW2. The ship was destroyed by a Japanese kamakaze submarine. Nearly half the crew was lost. Wagstaff, born, raised and still living in SLC, is one of about 60 survivors that remain.
