Buying an animal that has been raised by a local youth is a good way for people to buy local food and to fill their freezer with quality beef, lamb or pork at a reasonable price. Please meet Kathy at Kelly Maxfield's house in Farmington. His 10-year-old son Bryan, plus a few other kids from their 4-H group will be there feeding their animals that will be auctioned at this year's Utah State Fair.

Preparations were underway Thursday for the Soldier Hollow Classic Sheepdog Championship, where sixty-four sheepdogs from around the world will compete guiding 300 head of wild Utah sheep at the Soldier Hollow Olympic Venue.
