This comes after years of tumult in Yalecrest area by those who wanted the designation and those who don't. Now residents can petition for small historic districts in their neighborhood and homeowners can vote on it. The first four petitions are all in the 1700 blocks of Princeton Ave., Harvard Ave., Yale Ave. and Herbert Ave.
